Regarded as the hub of the aviation world, London Heathrow airport is the world’s busiest international airport and also the world’s second busiest cargo port. London Heathrow handles over 64 million passengers within its 4 terminals, who fly with over 90 different airlines to approximately 170 destinations. Covering an area of 3,000 acres (1,200 hectares) London Heathrow has two main runways together with a cross wind runway that see approximately 1250 flights per day.

How to get to London Heathrow Airport
Terminals 1, 2 and 4 are located in the centre of Heathrow and can be reached via the following motorways:

M4 Junction 4, M25 Junction 15 and A4 (local road).

Terminal 4 is on the south side of Heathrow and can be reached via the following motorways:

M4 Junction 3, M25 Junction 14 and A3 (local road).

There are two petrol stations at London Heathrow; both are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The BP Petrol Station is at the centre of the airport, close to Terminals 1, 2 and 3. The Esso Petrol Station is on the southern perimeter road between Terminal 4 and the M25. It also has an automatic car wash.

Please note that there are strict restrictions in place as regards to parking at Heathrow. Passengers and their bags can be dropped off on the forecourts, but vehicles cannot wait there. Any car left unattended outside a terminal will be swiftly removed by the police and a charge made for its recovery. There are no picking up facilities available on any of the terminal forecourts. Drivers collecting arriving passengers should park their vehicles in the appropriate short stay car park and proceed on foot to the terminal buildings.
